Overview: "Human, In Nature" was a show inspired by mycelium, the underground fungal network that trees use to communicate. Through this network, trees are able to share nutrients, help other species of plants, and even pass on vital information for survival as discovered by Canadian scientist Suzanne Simard. We felt this mirrored how humans communicate and care for each other and thought it a wonderful show to bring the ensemble together.

Be Here Now
Overview: "Be Here Now" is inspired by the simple idea of being in the present moment. This is one of the central ideas in meditation practices and something that is reflected in music performance. The ensemble was relatively small in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic with 15 total members. Although small in numbers, the group was full of talent and commitment and allowed the group to put on an intimate and engaging performance.

Voice overs are compiled from a variety of presentations given by Alan Watts regarding the mind and meditation practices.

Overview: The show "Distance" is broadly about just that. With a lot of space between members on the floor, a set designed to give this illusion that the ensemble is sometimes incredibly far from the audience, and a music program that includes long phrases full of space, this show was a true exploration of this idea. On a deeper level, it was meant to reflect the emotions of being far from the people you care about. Although this season was cut short due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the group was large and full of talented people who are currently giving back to the percussion community.
