The staff at Pi Percussion is full of skilled, experienced, and dedicated individuals who are committed to creating a fun and high level learning environment. A majority of these individuals are alumni of the organization and are excited to mentor the next generation of Pi performers.

CEO

Adam D. Hill

Adam is the founder of Pi Percussion. He is the director of percussion, assistant band director, and teaches jazz band, music technology, music theory, and guitar at Romeoville High School. He also runs the professional drumline the ADH experience.

Steven Vonderohe

Steven is a composer and educator who is an active performer in the Chicago area. He teaches and writes music for Marching Percussion at Romeoville High School. Steven spent two years as the front ensemble manager at Pacific Crest. Steven is in his seventh year teaching and fourth year designing for Pi, and is an alumni of the group (2011-2015).

Christian Perez

Christian is the Percussion Director at Lockport Township High School. He works as a bike messenger in downtown Chicago. He also teaches DCI at Pacific Crest. This is his seventh year working with the group. Christian is an alumni of Pi Percussion (2013)

Cory Simonich

Cory is earning his Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and Video Game Design WA who spends his free time disc golfing, teaching DCI, This is his sixth year working with the group, fourth as a designer. Cory is an alumni of Pi Percussion (2015)

Connor Smethers

Connor currently lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has marched seasons with Legends, Genesis, Redline, and Cap City. In his free time he enjoys disc golf, teaching percussion, and visual design. He spent his past two summers as the battery visual specialist with Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps. He currently works full time as a drill writer, visual consultant, visual coordinator, choreographer, and teacher in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and Illinois.
